He desires a people who pray continually — believing that He will respond. He wants a people who serve faithfully in even the small things.
He wants a people who are faithful to bring their hearts to enter His gates with praise. Faithfulness comes easily when life flows smoothly. But on the hardest day of your life, how do you remain focused and faithful? When trouble looms on every side? You may not see the way through. Take one more step of faith.

You may feel absolutely alone. Take one more step. When the darkness presses in, take one more step. Remain focused on the promise that He made to you. Remain faithful to take just one more step. On the path that He opens before you, He waits with hands outstretched. He has not abandoned you. He is working everything out for your good. Even in the difficult times, may God empower you with focus and faithfulness. May every step be one of purpose and perseverance until you possess the promise He has given! When facing our personal Jericho, we have learned that we must work while we wait.
We must be faithful. While we are waiting, we must remain focused. We all begin with energy and expectation, passion and purpose. But what do we do when those things begin to wane in the reality of our situations? When every step looks the same? How do we plow through the monotony? For the Israelites, the solution was to have a vision. They saw their destiny up ahead — full of the promise and potential that God had stored up for them.
They made it through day three — not because of the idea that they would do the same thing on days four, five, and six — but because they knew that day seven held the promise of a shout! Some lose focus because of the pain in their past, the problem in their present, or the fear of the future. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus; He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. He will lead us to the joy that He has set before us. May God establish your steps and renew your vision for His promise.
May you move forward in the strength and power of His name! As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
See a Problem?
As their leader, Joshua did something extraordinary. Instead of positioning himself at the forefront of the parade, he made the Ark of the Covenant the central focus of every Israelite. Surrounded by the priests, warriors, and people, the Ark was at the center of their laps around Jericho.
They kept the Word of God and His presence in sight. As you march, remember to keep Jesus at the very center of your endeavors as though your life depends on Him. If you follow a mere man, you will receive only the best that he can give. But, if you follow a limitless God, He will give you more than you can imagine. Open the Word of God to meet Him in the pages. Find direction and hope to conquer darkness and provide courage for another lap. It always accomplishes what it is sent out to do.
When you are walking around the most difficult issue in your life, keeping His presence and His promises at the center will lead you to victory.
Your deliverance is a sure thing.
As you keep Jesus at the center, may His presence surround you. May His Word strengthen and encourage you. In Him, victory is sure! Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
When God gave Jericho to Joshua, it did not come gift-wrapped with a pretty bow set on top. The walls of Jericho fell… by faith. Everywhere faith is found in His Word, work exists right alongside it.
After God gave Joshua his marching orders, he rose early the next morning. He did not delay to do what God asked. He did not waste time whining; complaint is a restraint. He put the plan into action. Joshua was not where he wanted to be…yet. He went to work right where he was.

He knew that God was too wise to be mistaken and too loving to be unkind. We work while we wait! We march around the walls. We speak His truth. We extend His heart. We put our hands to the task before us.
And every step of faith brings us one step closer to the shout of victory. May whining, complaining, and procrastination have no place in your life. May you co-labor with Christ until His kingdom comes and His will is done here on earth as it is in heaven! By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.
The daunting walls of Jericho stood between the children of Israel and the Promised Land. If not for God, those walls were their mission impossible. You may face the walls of a personal Jericho that are impossible for you to bring down on your own.
